Humanitas
Judd Wallenbrock is a good guy. He's a hard worker, devoted husband and father, and his heart is as big as he is tall. So it was no surprise to see Judd at the local soup kitchen cooking for the less fortunate of Napa Valley. It was dfficult for Judd to take time away from his work and family to give time at the kitchen. He also felt as though he was more of a hinderance then a help. It was in this awkward moment that Judd realized that his years of experience in the wine industry, combined with his life long dream to own his own winery, in addition to his desire to give back, would be a better way to serve the community. He decided he would fulfill his dreams while filling the bellies of the hungry by creating a winery that would give 20% of all it's profit to charity. Judd handed in his serving spoon and donned a winemaker's hat and thus Humanitas was born.
Humanitas is dedicated to righting three great wrongs in our country; hunger, lack of affordable housing, and illiteracy. Therefore the majority of donations made through Humanitas goes to America's Second Harvest, Habitat for Humanity, and Reading is Fundamental. Humanitas only gives to local chapters of charities based on where the wine is purchase. That way the wine buyer helps those in need in their own community when they purchase Humanitas wine.
Humanitas has two tiers of wine. The first tier features Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay , and a Cabernet Sauvignon all for $20 or less. These delicious wines make it easy for anyone to indulge themselves while helping others. The second tier, the "Good Earth" tier, offes a deep and dense Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir for $40, and a full bodied Caldwell Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet ($60) that is sealed with the revolutionary vino-seal that ensures this beauty has no risk of cork taint. These two elegant wines are the perfect addition to any holiday table or to the gifts that go under the tree!
